Hi Eliot! Very thrilled to join you! My partner Alazar and I are starting as new tutors this year and we are both very excited to get to know you all. A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, went to Brandeis University for undergrad where I majored in Biochemistry and have stayed in the Boston area ever since. After college, I took two years off from school to work at a biotech (C4 therapeutics) before starting med school in 2019. I am now a 7th year MD/PhD student starting

Hi Domus! My husband Alazar and I are starting our fourth year as tutors at Eliot and we are  very excited to get to know you all! 

A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, went to Brandeis University for undergrad where I majored in Biochemistry with a minor in Computer Science and have stayed in the Boston area ever since. After college, I took two years off from school to work at a biotech (C4 therapeutics) before starting med school in 2019. I am now a 7th year MD/PhD student starting my 5th year in the Immunology program at Harvard.

Outside of life in medicine and science, I love going for a swim or a walk, dancing and making/ sharing some good Ethiopian food and coffee. Happy to chat about the pre-med track, being international while applying to med school, research, your favorite books or Netflix/HULU shows…really anything on your mind. Look forward to getting to know you all over the coming year.
